Tourism in Morocco : Azilal

An ideal base for exploring the High Atlas, the city Azilal and all its regions offer a wide variety of natural landscapes and living culture.

The region is the result of an Arab-Berber mix that is reflected in the crafts, cuisine and architecture. A prime example of the latter would be the breadbasket of land fortified circular village of Sidi Moussa. These ancient granaries characterize rural life around. The people, pastoralists and farmers are engaged in the production of honey, walnut oil and cheese. Women's associations and cooperatives together several villages are open to the public. Please enter a tighermt these old patriarchal fortified dwellings. If the walls are of adobe or stone, the interior wood is sometimes cleverly painted with various motifs. And you will understand why the hospitality of the people of the region is also known.
